Nature of request
Mare states that he holds the land of Donestanville, and that Donestanville was pledge for Erdlynton, and that the king allowed the debts that the petitioner owed to the king against the wages and costs that the king owed the petitioner for his service in Gascony, and now Mare is distrained for the pledge of Donestaville. He requests allowance of that debt as his own debt was allowed, and that the heirs of Erdlynton not be discharged for the sum that he paid for the pledge so that he can have recovery against them, or that the king will make restoration of the sum paid.
