[Petition in two parts:]1) Vilein requests that delivery is made to him of the 8 sacks of his wool arrested at Boston at the complaint of a man of Beverley and delivered to that man for a robbery that the men of Flanders made upon the sea as he is not of the affinity of the men of Flanders.2) He requests the king's letters [of protection] so that he and his people and goods are able to come and go by land and sea without impediment paying the customs used in England.

Richard de Beringham, steward of Boston is to certify the council on this.It is the consideration of the council that it is good that these are delivered by order of the king.To the second petition it is granted by the council that he should have the king's protection for one year.
