The canons request that the king will confirm the charter that they have of Henry III of certain liberties granted to the church as certain of king's justices and ministers do not wish to allow the charter in certain points because it has not been confirmed by the king.
Nature of endorsement
They should come and show their charter before the treasurer and he will do what ought to be done.

The petition is dated to 1290-1307 as the petition has to date to the reign of Edward I as it refers to King Henry, the king's father, but the hand suggests a petition later in the reign.
