Nature of request
The abbot and convent request remedy as they were granted two trees in free alms by Lord Eagle in the forest pertaining to his barony of which they were seised until the barony came into the hand of the king.
Nature of endorsement
He should go to the Exchequer and show the charter that he has ... and justice will be done to him.He should sue upon the account of the steward of that honour, and let the matter be enquired of.

The petition is dated to c. 1305 because an inquisition into matter complained of was held on 6 May 1305, though this seems to have been held in response to another petition by the same petitioner on the same and other matters (CIM 1219-1307, no.1963; SC 8/94/4656)
