[Petition in two parts, the second part being only legible in parts:]1) Paris complains of the actions of Roland to whom he entrusted his wife and all his lands, goods and chattels while he was in the king's service in the war of Flanders, as Roland alleged to his wife that he was dead and caused her to make a great default, and when Paris returned with the king he had taken his goods and his wife pleaded for a divorce, and after the divorce, Roland married her and detained the lands bought jointly between Paris and his wife as well as those of her inheritance and refuses to answer for them.2) [Second request concerning the estate of petitioner and the conspiracy of Roland].

The petition is dated to c. 1298 as mention is made of the king's return from Flanders, and he returned from campaigning there in 1298. The petition refers to the petitioner departing on the Scottish war after this return, so that the petition is some time after 1298.
