Nature of request
Inquisition taken by order of the writ by which the jurors find that the king is able to grant the piece of vacant land to Odiham without prejudice or injury, and they say it is valued at 2s.
Nature of endorsement
[On face:]1) This inquisition cannot be expedited without the express will of the king because it is the king's sole property.2) Because others have offered more for the piece, it should remain until Easter in three weeks at London.[On dorse:]1) M XXXII Edward First.2) He should sue before the treasurer with the sheriffs of London and they should consider if it is to the profit of the king to do this as it is said that others offer more for the piece.3) [Another response is illegible].
