Osgodby requests that the king will grant and command to the sheriff not to suffer force to be used by the abbot of Sawley against Osgodby concerning the tithes from the demesne of the abbey in the parish of Gargrave which pertain to Osgodby as appears by sentence of court christian, the abbot having made a great affray with 2-300 men whereby Osgodby's men dare not collect the tithes.
