Nature of request
Thorntoft is to have a writ of Chancery to Stapelton, or to his lieutenant, to inquire into whether the predecessors of the aforesaid Thorntoft, parsons of [Fewston], were seised of reasonable estovers, like housebote and haybote, in the aforesaid forest, and if so, the Stapelton or his lieutenant is to allow the same William to receive and have reasonable estovers, in the aforesaid forest, as his predecessors had.
