Nature of request
Langton and Heton state that Purvis and the others were taken in 'les piles' of Bolton and Whittingham by the garrisons of Bamburgh, Alnwick and Warkworth, and that Purvis is a known traitor who has levied war against the king and is one of the worst malefactors of the march, and they request that the king will command that Purvis be hung and drawn and that the king will give his will on
