Nature of request
Blakeburn request that honourable sustenance be ordained for him until he is able to recover his lands. He has served the king and his father for 22 years and more and was in Horsley's company in the castle of Berwick until its loss and was taken prisoner and wounded near to death, he lost his brother at the battle of Bannockburn and has lost the issues of his lands in the Scottish Marches in these last ten years, and also of a fishery in the Tweed.
