- Warthole requests the grant of a petit bailiwick in Derwentfells for his life as he has served the king in all his wars of Scotland and has been captured and ransomed three times, and his lands, goods and chattels are all destroyed.

Note (Additional information about the record)
- The petition is dated to c. 1310-c. 1324 as this petition is clearly presented during the Scottish war. It seems likely from the dating of many of the other petitions in this file that this petition dates to c. 1318 from an original file group in files 318 and 319. Fraser dates the petition to 'temp Edward I', and although this is not impossible, the hand seems to suggest a later date in his son's reign when events in Scotland were far less favourable to the English cause.
