Nature of request
Horkesleye requests remedy as his ancestors founded the house of Horkesley giving it lands and rents for as many monks as it would sustain, and the house was put in the jurisdiction of the house of Thetford, but now the prior has ordered all the French monks who have destroyed the house so that there is not sufficient to sustain one monk.
