Kyrtillington requests remedy for wool charged on a ship going to Flanders which was stolen by malefactors from Flanders near the Schelde with the merchandises of other merchants of Beverley. Kyrtillington sued to the king on this and the king by his letters commanded the count of Flanders to do justice, but he has not.

The petition is dated to 1319 as the bailiffs of Kingston and Great Yarmouth were ordered to arrest the goods of men of the count of Flanders in satisfaction of the claim. The petition is also apparently part of an original file dated to 1318-1319 (see the dating of SC 8/318/E340).
