Nature of request
Sprotton requests that the treasurer and barons of the Exchequer be commanded to pay him for the wages and costs of maintaining the troops at Rhuddlan Castle during the time that Llwyd was imprisoned there, and that he can be served of this. He petitioned for payment and the king accepted this and an inquisition was held into the matter by the justice of Chester which has been returned.
