Nature of request
[The petition is damaged with a significant portion missing from the right-hand side of the document].Lutegarshale requests remedy and that he can have recovery of his losses and damages as those responsible have too much power to pursue them at the common law. He was proctor to receive the church of Minsterworth, the presentation of which the king had recovered, but the Talbots conspired against him and ambushed him in a wood called 'Bridwode' and badly ill-treated him so that he is permanently maimed.Note that Dame Talbot has undertaken the defence of the church against the king.Note concerning the aid that the Talbots have received from the king's ministers in that country.
