Note (Additional information about the record)
- The petition is dated to 1312-1313 based on the now partly illegible dating in the response which is to 6 Edward [II]. In addition a Nicholas de Rency was sent to the abbot and convent of St Augustine on the 16 March 1312, and then sent to the abbey of Chester on 3 May 1313 (CCR 1307-13, pp.451, 580). It is not clear how this individual is related to the petitioner, he being the same person as the petitioner with an alternative name, or being a totally different person altogether. It seems rather more than coincidence that the two individuals both seem to be successors to the same individual - Henry de Monte Pessulano.
