Baillol requests that the king will order letters to the treasurer and barons of the Exchequer to pay to the earl Marshal the money paid daily to him for Baillol's residence in his household with the arrears of the same, or that he give to him certain lands that were his father's in England.

The petition is dated to c. 1315 as Balliol is recorded in Brotherton's household in May 1315, and Brotherton was granted the office of Marshall in February 1316 [CPR 1313-17, p.281; CChR 1300-26, p.304].
