- The petition is dated to 1316 as the escheator was ordered to take Maud de Welle's dower lands into the king's hand on 16 December 1315, and the petitioners were pardoned the unlicensed marriage and the escheator was ordered to restore the dower lands on 3 October 1316 [CFR 1307-19, p.266; CPR 1313-17, p.551; CCR 1313-18, p.367].
