Drels requests that since the king has been paid of the customs on the wine which he could not take without making satisfaction to the merchants that the agreement be held to as Bromsgrove took wine from him for the king's use at Berwick in the 32nd year of which he should have been paid.

[A note in Memoranda de Parliamento identifies the first response as a 'memorandum about some other petition':]1) 18 April a petition was delivered to Benstead concerning Matthew de St John, merchant of Bayonne.2) Coram thesaurario et custode Garderobe.
