Description
Petitioners
Ralph de Snytirtone (Snitterton); Alice de Snytirtone (Snitterton), wife of Ralph de Snitterton and widow of Henry de Darley.
Name(s)
de Snytirtone (Snitterton); de Snytirtone (Snitterton), Ralph; Alice
Addressees
King and council.
Nature of request
The Snytertones request that John Darley not be disinherited by default of justice and that it be enquired of how the Darleys held their land in Darley as it was not held by any service that gave rights of wardship and marriage, and they pray remedy by writ for John Darley, an infant and the Darley heir. When the lands were taken into the hand of the sub-escheator after the death of Robert de Darley it was found that the lands were held of a money rent but Coterel maliciously has suggested that the land is held by knight's fee.
Nature of endorsement
Because this petition was elsewhere sent to the Exchequer as it is attested, therefore let this be sent to the same place and it should be considered what ought to be done, and let justice be done etc.
Places mentioned

High Peak, [Derbyshire].
