Nature of request
1) Welleby requests grace and remedy as he approved of the lands that were Gilbert de Gant's for three years within which time he paid a certain sum of cockards, and they were sent to Scotland, and they owe him a penny for a penny, but he can only have allowance for two for one.2) The king has had suit for 8 fees of the fee of Gant from Welleby but which are not mentioned in any writ or note when Gant enfeoffed him.3) Item the king has recovered at the petitioner's suit 385 marks together with £40 of land which he holds at his will as things forfeit that formerly belonged to the prior of Farley, alien.4) Item 160 marks from Wayte and Gamel concerning the concealment of goods and chattels of aliens.5) Item from Dame Lore £23 of goods and chattels of the king which were in the sown lands whereof the Dame was dowered by commandment of the king.1)
