Nature of request
Russel requests that he can have a writ to the barons of the Exchequer to cease their distresses made on him until he is able to prove before the king and his council how Lisle has broken the agreement made between them by which Lisle is bound to Russel in 1,000 marks by his recognizance made before the barons of the Exchequer. Russel and Lisle made an agreement that Russel would enfeoff Lisle of part of his lands so that he could re-enfeoff Russel and his wife and their heirs with them but Lisle sued a writ against Russel and charged the lands with a certain sum of money barring Russel from his sustenance and power.

It is enjoined to the barons of the Exchequer present in this parliament that they should view the agreements and do what ought to be done etc.
