Nature of request
The community of the bakers complain of the bailiffs of York who wait until their bread is old and dried out and weighs less at the retailers and then amerce them. They request remedy and that they can have the same customs as London where the bailiffs are only allowed to take the bread straight from the oven to weigh it, which is also customary in other towns.
Nature of endorsement
They should go to the treasurer and barons of the Exchequer and complain if an injury has been done to them.
