[None specified].
Nature of request
[Petition in 3 parts, with a fourth part struck-through. The full name of the petitioner is unclear because the petition was originally part of a longer series from which this portion was cut:]1) The petitioner requests that a certain punishment be ordained upon Danestre as Skamelford and other good people were commanded by the sheriff and Dalton to charge the ship of Bradfeld to carry the king's corn to Scotland, and Danecestre and others came and took Skamelford's rod of office and dragged him by his feet over the gravel for which trespass he was attainted by good inquisition.2) The petitioner requests certain judgment be put on those cheaters of merchants and other good people who are attainted before him and who have nothing by which to make amends.3) The petitioner requests council as the vicar of Barton has denounced and excommunicated the bailiffs, suitors, parties of pleas and all those who hold the court or come to it.
Nature of endorsement
[On face:]1) At the Exchequer and let justice be done there.2) He should do upon them just as in other towns and markets in similar cases is accustomed to be done.3) The vicar should be made to come to answer for the contempts and trespasses.[On dorse, none].
