Nature of request
Suthcote, Rokesle, Bret and Tylly request remedy and that they be discharged of the sum demanded from them by writ of the Exchequer and that the records of the barons of the Exchequer be searched as they acted as mainpernors with others for the prior and convent of Stoke by Clare for the taxation of the priory for one year, which sum was paid, but now they are distrained for this further sum by that writ though they were only mainpernors for one year and the prior is assessed as sufficient to pay the sum.
