The prior complains that, whereas our the king takes the survey valuation of his goods and lands in England as from other aliens, so that he cannot bring or defend litigation without the aid and support of the king in the kingdom of England, and he is impleaded by Sapience for the advowson of the church of Weston by writ of right, in which the said prior put himself on a wager of law for a default which the Sapience sued against him concerning the church, for which he is adjourned to the quindene of Saint Martin in Winter. He requests that the justices be commanded that a monk, who is the prior's attorney in England, be received to perform the law of which the prior is charged in person so that he may return to his country with less costs and expenses.

If the prior of Longueville is an alien and his house is in the king's hands, he is to go to the exchequer and the treasurer and barons are to inform the justices of this by a writ of the exchequer and the justices are to do what is to be done on this.S [Exchequer].
