Nature of request
It is requested that the money that they were assessed to pay for the lands that were bought by the king's mother from Cornhill and subsequently granted to them can be paid at the terms and instalments originally specified as the whole sum is now demanded from them and they will be ruined. The assessment is part of an assessment made on all Cornhill's land for debts owed to the king.

He should go to the Exchequer and the treasurer and barons of the Exchequer should do what they consider expedient.[Another response struck-through].S [Exchequer].
