Boun requests that the sheriff be commanded to cease his demands on her until the truth of the matter is enquired of as she was amerced following two writs that were annulled, one because she was non-suited against le Wariner, the other against Hide because his name was entered incorrectly, as she has been amerced at the rate of a baroness, the justices believing her to be Dame Joan de Bohun.
Nature of endorsement
She should go to the Exchequer and let the estreat and original rolls be viewed and if an error is found by the treasurer and barons let it be corrected by the council of the justices, and in the meantime she should have respite.S [Exchequer].
