Nature of request
They request that for the gift to the king that he will grant and confirm their liberties and usages that they have from him and his ancestors, and that he will grant various liberties granted to those of London and Bristol as he has already granted and confirmed to those of Lincoln.1)
Nature of endorsement
They should hold the liberties contained in their charters, and if there are articles in their charters which they have hitherto not used they should specify them and the king will have council for the making of a fine.2) Coram rege.S [Exchequer].
