Mortemer requests grace and remedy as the custody of the messuages, lands and heirs of Brompton ought to pertain to him for Brompton held by knights' fee from him, but the same have been taken into the king's hand for a petit sergeanty that only came to the king by escheat from the earl of Shrewsbury, and nothing has been done on previous writs sent to the treasurer and barons on this, he having sued for 6 years.
