Walkingham requests remedy as his father held three carucates of land in Farnham quit of puture but after his death during the minority of his brother Cornwall levied puture by duress and distress, and now the petitioner is of age and wishes to hold the land discharged of puture as it had been in his father's time but the present steward distrains him grievously.1)
Nature of endorsement
He should show the king and his council what he has of this and afterwards the king will ordain concerning each petition.2) Let it remain.3) Coram rege.
