Seynt John requests remedy and a warrant to make suitable bounds between the king's honour of Skipton and the fees and lordships of Percy and others as they have appropriated parts of the honour to the king's damage.1)
Nature of endorsement
The constable of Knaresborough is to examine the position in the time of the earl of Cornwall, and Kirkby is to examine the memoranda of the Exchequer from the time of the earl of Aumale and other memoranda of the Exchequer and they are to certify the king in the next parliament, and let them be ordered by writ.2) Chancery.

The petitioner would seem to be that John de St John who was dead by January 1303 and who was active in the northern counties, in particular Cumberland, and not his son of the same name (CPR 1301-7, pp.109-10). The petition is likely to date to 1302 with most of the other petitions in this file.
