Havering requests that the king will command the barons of the Exchequer that they will allow his wages from 10 July 1295 to 3 September as he was granted the custody of North Wales on the former day, but his commission was made on the latter as he went to Wales at that time at great cost because the peace was then still not certain and the barons of the Exchequer will not make payment.1)
Nature of endorsement
The king wishes to grant nothing to him except from the time that he letters of the king of commission.2) Let it remain.3) [Coram r]ege.
