Boys requests remedy as he and his ancestors in the time of Earl Edmund and his father Richard took housebote and haybote from their vaccary of Beckwithshaw in the forest of Knaresborough from the woods adjoining it, but Harpedene came after the death of the earl and kept them out of this and Stapelton has maintained this position.1)
