Nature of request
Brokhampton requests that the damages awarded against him, Brode and Mikelpayne by an inquisition held in their absence as a result of a plea made against them by writ of trespass by Puckeloue be assessed by the jurors, and that Brokhampton be distrained for his portion as by malice Puckeloue has entered his lands and ejected him, and his wife and children and they are beggars.1)
Nature of endorsement
The inquisition was taken by their default; and the damages taxed by the jurors of the inquisition and not by the justices; and the land was delivered according to the form of the statute etc. until the damages were levied.2) Let it remain.3) They have not come [incomplete].
