Almaine requests remedy be done to her as she has sued against various people for her dower but they have vouched to warranty the earl and his heirs, and the king is heir so that they have answered that they ought not answer and the justice have surceased the suit until the king says his will.1)
Nature of endorsement
The justices are to come together and do justice so that no injury is done on the pretext of the king. And if it be in doubt, they should certify the king. Afterwards by certain causes it was agreed that this business should be adjourned as far as the next parliament etc. And let it be ordered to Aylesbury and the other executors of the earl that they send to London all charters, writings and muniments and those transcripts of charters remaining in books in the treasury etc. and deliver them into the Exchequer.2) Coram rege.3) Another similar petition was sent to Chancery.
