The petitioner requests that the king will make enquiry into his rights by loyal justices concerning the excesses committed by Swynnerton as collector of the tenth penny by which he has greatly profited, the people of the country having come to the petitioner and complained of the matter.The petitioner states that he is the same knight who came to the king in Wales without armour, and to whom the king was courteous.
