Nature of request
The petitioners request grace and remedy and that they can have letters to the bailiffs of Odiham that they are able to be received to their offices as they were granted them by charter of the king, but have been removed because the treasurer does not give his grace for a small trespass which the king has pardoned them in Wales.

The petition is dated to? 1280-? 1300 as an entry in the close rolls suggests that Dobbe had been in office for some time by February 1290 when he was granted a 1d. increase in his daily wage because of his bodily infirmity at that time (CCR 1288-96, p.70).
