Nature of request
The abbot of Warden requests:1) that the King will do what seems expedient concerning the 20 marks yearly due to him at the Exchequer;2) that due to the murrain of his animals he may have six years to pay the merchant of Florence who purchased 25 sacks of the abbey's wool from his predecessor, or one year in which to return his money;3) the King's grace for the abbey's wool which was to be sold to a merchant of Cahors for six years, but cannot be because of the murrain of his animals.
