Walter, archbishop of York, to whom the King granted licence to make a 40-foot wide trench in Sherwood Forest, in his wood and those of the abbot of Rufford and prior of Newstead, requests that the writ sent to Neville to hold an inquisition ad quod dampnum on the oaths of foresters, verderers and other good men of the bailiwick be amended because his bailiff erred concerning the boundaries between the said woods.
