- The abbot of Fountains requests that whereas on Monday after the Decollation of John the Baptist in the 11th year of Henry IV [1410] Parker, Chelray, Mallome, Thakwra, Bailton and others broke his closes at Bewerley and Dacre, depastured his grass there, drove away his beasts, and assaulted and threatened his tenants and servants, that a commission of oyer and terminer be directed to Gascoigne, Norton, Burgh and Conyers to enquire into and punish these men for their trespass.
