Lacy, who recently purchased various cloths from Randolf at Hadleigh for which he owes £98, requests a protection of alms to last for one year since he sold the cloths to Parker for £104, and Parker, having not yet paid Lacy, took the cloths and other men's goods to the sanctuary of Westminster, intending to stay there forever, so that Lacy and his pledges face prison if he cannot pay Randolf.
