Nature of request
Inquisition taken before Aylesbury and Olney at Newport on Tuesday before Corpus Christi in the fortieth year of Edward III [1366] in which Straunge, Sherwood, Wymond, Basset, Teyser, Joseph, Kylmyn, Franklin, Tresschere, Spencer, Herring and Rous say that Robert Barry the son attacked Robert Barry the father with a sword on 2 May last, wounding the father's right arm but not mortally, and hit his father on the head with a rock but not mortally, and all this was done in fury and for fear of the father who is possessed by an evil spirit.
