Stiward requests that whereas Fitz Hugh's ancestors always had the profits from the moiety of their manor of Bitton in the chase of Kingswood without paying cheminage or other tax until the chase came into Queen Philippa's hand, at which time Nicholas and Cicely Berkley, who hold the other moiety of the manor, sued a writ to the Queen's auditors of accounts by which they certified in Chancery that nothing was due to the Queen for cheminage, for which they had writs ordering the keeper of the chase to allow them to have the profits from their moiety without cheminage or other tax, that a similar writ be granted for Fitz Hugh's moiety.
