Nature of request
The Earl of Lancaster's people of Easingwold and Huby request remedy because although they should be quit of cheminage according to the charter of the forest, Raskilf and Burgh, who keep the bailiwick of Easingwold in the Galtres forest under Wyresdale, have charged them over 40s for cheminage, and by a new custom seven vills have been charged with providing food and other necessaries for the two foresters, three of which vills are outside the forest's bounds.
