Nature of request
Gislyngham requests remedy for the great wrong done to him and his brother John on the decollation of St John in the twentieth year of the King's reign [1346] when le Lung and his wife, accompanied by Loungechamp, ten of his armed men, sixty archers, the community of Diss and three carts laden with their arms, entered and made war upon the vill of Gislingham with royal power, destroyed lands and tenements and stole goods and chattels. John is in the King's war in the company of le Despenser and under the King's protection.

He should have a writ of trespass at the common law or an oyer and terminer by fine if he wishes.
