Name(s)
Nicholai, Paul
Addressees

Nature of request
Nicholai states that he has been impoverished by Thomas Keriol, who has deprived him of his goods, and requests writs to compel witnesses to speak the truth of the bishop's grace, as he cannot afford to pay for them. These writs should go to Masters Langton, Wilton and Cromp and Brother Allerton; and he also asks that the case might be committed to the master of the rolls, Somerset, the bishop of Lincoln or the dean of St Paul's or to two of them, with full power to finally determine it, because he is tired worn out by the work, expense and time of his prosecution.
