- The petition is dated to c. 1363-c. 1366 on the basis of references in the patent rolls. The petitioner was certainly in England by April 1363 when he had letters nominating an attorney in Ireland, and in October 1366 he had a licence to export wine, though it is unclear whether this relates to this petition (CPR 1361-4, p.322; CPR 1364-7, p.314).
