Middelton requests that a remedy is ordained as the dean of Wimborne Minster has encroached upon his garb tithes in his parish concerning assarted wasteland and although he has sued to his ordinary, the suit has been stopped because the chapel of Wimborne Minster is a free chapel of the king and exempt from the jurisdiction of the ordinary

Memorandum on 23 April, 38 Edward III, Middelton and the dean by his attorney came into Chancery at Westminster and were given a day in the quindene of Holy Trinity next doing and receiving what the king's court considers ought to be done concerning the contents of the petition.
