Davale requests that the bailiffs of Colchester be commanded to de-arrest the master, mariners and boy and the ship with equipment that he partly owns and which was arrested at Colchester when it arrived with its cargo of onions and garlic.
Nature of endorsement
Let it be remembered that on 13 October, 5 [Hen. IV] by the chancellor, treasurer and keeper of the privy seal that a writ be made to the bailiffs of Colchester to de-arrest the ship and its equipment and the master, mariners and the boy of the ship, and suffer them to sell their victuals in England if it is as the petition makes mention.
